Sunset Sailing

Set sail at 3 pm for a relaxing Bay Cruise to seek dolphins, turtles and jumping manta rays. From December to March you can spot humpback whales, pilot whales and sperm whales. The Sunset Cruise includes a glass of champagne as soon as the sun sets on the horizon, as well as chilled wine, cold beer, juices, soft drinks, water, snacks and a plate of tropical fruits. Enjoy gliding through the pacific waters, wind in your hair while listening to a wide CD selection of music ranging from Jimmy Buffet to Enya to classical masterpieces. When the sun sets over the horizon and the picturesque town of Playa Tamarindo glows under the last rays of sunlight you will feel like Christopher Columbus when he first discovered Costa Rica.

The Mandingo Sailing Sunset Cruise is famous from the E! Entertainment Television Show ‘Wild on Costa Rica’ which aired in the US in June of 2003 with several reruns showing throughout the year.

Canopy (Cartagena)

Come and enjoy one of the last dry forests in Guanacaste, take a look at Costa Rica’s national tree from the tree tops.

After the explanation and instructions, we climb up a winding star case of 17 mts ready to start the system of cables increasing in distance while we swing from platform to platform.

The tour has 10 cables with 11 platforms, the final cable leads directly into the center, making it the final platform, here you will be greeted with drinks, (water, juice, or beer) and a souvenir.

All platforms are made of metal; they are designed and built with highest standard materials to provide the best quality and safety for everyone.

Cartagena Canopy Tour is 1600 meters in total; on the tour you will encounter many species of trees, vines, reptiles, mammals and birds such as: long tail manakin, trogons, fly catcher, tiger heron.

The Colorado River is a narrow river where you will pass through canyon walls as you experience water rapids, lush vegetation, wildlife and pristine isolation. Palo Verde National Park + Guaitil Pottery

The natural hydrologic system of Palo Verde create the right conditions to produce in the zone the most important concentration of birds in the country and Central America. This is a birdwatchers paradise as well as a perfect spot to see lots of crocodiles, some monkeys, reptiles, as you cruise the Tempisque River by boat. After lunch you will pass by the famous artisan village of Guaitil and learn about the Chorotega Indians and can watch the artists as they make the pottery that heritage from their Pre Columbian ancestors.

Rio Celeste

A legend tells that after God was done panting the sky, he washed the brushes in Rio Celeste (River Light Blue). Once in the Tenorio National Park you will begin hiking through a primary forest with your naturalist guide who will tech you about the jungle and point out troops of howler monkeys prancing in the branches along with many other animals. This is truly a great tour for the active traveler who loves nature. As you descend you will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall with its unique blue color.

Corobici River Float

On this full day trip you will enjoy adventure and learn about the animals of Costa Rica while floating down the beautiful Corobici River . This gentle float trip is safe for young and old alike while taking in the sights of birds, monkeys and other wildlife that thrive along the river's edge. The river is bordered by a tropical dry forest where you will se towering trees. You will also visit Los Pumas Rescue Center where you can see all varieties of cats that are located in Costa Rica as well as many species of birds and white face monkeys.

Barra Honda Caves

Hike in the Barra Honda National Park have main attraction is an intricately large system of limestone caverns which house a multitude of capricious forms and figures.

Reef rocks constitute Barra Honda hill, of 300mts tall, which means, by old reefs that sink caused by an elevation provoked by tectonics faults 60 millions of years ago. You can enjoy of this caves and see the flora and fauna of this place, you can t see, coatis, agutis, anteaters and monkeys also point out species of tree and medical plants.
These Hike takes around one hour approx and this hike is difficult, because depending on your physical fitness.

Arenal Volcano + Tabacon Hot Springs

Your trip to Costa Rica will not be complete without visiting the magnificent Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs. First you will visit Los Pumas Rescue Center where you can see all the varieties of cats that are located in Costa Rica as well as many species of birds and monkeys. Feel and see the power of being in the presence of an active volcano while hiking old lava fields then afterwards soak your body into therapeutic waters of the Hot Springs while watching for the burst of lava from the top of the Volcano.

Turtle Nesting sites (Playa Grande)

This tour is offered only between Nov – Jan each year. Please be advised that this tour operates according to the Leatherback Turtles schedule and long waits until the turtles appear are sometimes common. The Leatherback turtle is the largest living turtle in the world and can reach 8 feet in length. There turtles are an amazing phenomenon and are endangered worldwide. You will witness the mother as she fans away the sand to make her nest and then lays her eggs before returning to the sea. Included are Naturalist Guide, snacks and water.
