Mawamba Lodge

During your stay, enjoy our pool surrounded by exotic gardens and relax in the ranchos with hammocks. Comfortable rooms with ceiling fans provide tranquil garden views. Stroll through the nature trails or take a leisurely walk on the pristine beach in front of the Lodge.

Guest accommodations consist of 36 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, hot water, ceiling fans and chairs for a pleasant, relaxing evening. Hotel facilities include two docks on the canals, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, two family-style restaurants with local and international cuisine (one specially designed for groups and incentives), BBQ, bar, souvenir shop, relaxing ranchos with hammocks, natural trails, beach access in walking distance, sand volleyball court, and and conference room where daily lectures on Tortuguero's natural history are presented. Samoa Lodge

In the middle of the tropical jungle, where the flora and fauna create a spectacular natural scene, the mystic of the area, the Caribbean tradition and the various attractions let you perfectly enjoy the gifts of nature that are the reasons why our country is called “Costa Rica” and why our hotel is located in the middle of the paradise.

From our Lodge you can reach the rainforest, the National Park, the nesting of the green turtle, but most of all it is the most amazing area you can imagine.

The tourist who comes to Samoa Lodge will enjoy excursions on the river into the Tortuguero Canals or on the trails into the woods. Whatever the way, it is for sure that will never forget the experiences in this tropical fantasy encounter.

Tortuga Lodge

Tortuga Lodge, situated on 50 acres of private land on Costa Rica's northeast Caribbean coast, was our first hotel. It is now our newest hotel. Everything we have learned about designing nature lodges over the last 11 years has gone into the remodeling of Tortuga Lodge. What we learned can be summarized in three words: "Reflect the place." The Lodge has 26 deluxe rooms and one penthouse.

The Lodge's restaurant starts at the river dock and reluctantly moves inland. Delectable meals are created by our chef, Valentin, who specializes in local and international dishes. Designed to blend into the river environment, the pool features an environmentally-friendly purification system that uses an undetectable amount of salt instead of commercial chlorine. The water does not irritate the eyes....

Turtle Beach Lodge

Turtle Beach Lodge – the ultimate in seclusion, tropical beauty, and adventure in lowland jungle rainforest.

The lodge accommodates approximately 80 guests; assisted by a well trained staff and guides who ease you into an exciting jungle experience. Stay in the beautifully landscaped cabinas, swim in our turtle shaped pool, relax in the adjacent shady hammock hut with food and drink from the restaurant and bar.

From late June to early October the prime turtle season brings thousands of Atlantic Green Sea Turtles to the beaches of Tortuguero. Leatherback and Hawksbill Sea Turtles, in lesser numbers, arrive to lay eggs from November to May. Come join us for the opportunity to look for these Sea Turtles, and watch their young as they hatch and scamper to the sea. Other common sites are Monkeys, Blue Morpho butterflies, colorful poison Dart frogs, Three-toed Sloths, Parrots, Toucans, and many exotic species of birds.
